Phase 2

Approach & Entry

This phase defines how the operator makes first contact with the environment. The goal is to choose and execute an entry path that is realistic, measured, and aligned with the purpose of the assessment.

Purpose

Approach and Entry tests how access decisions are actually made under ordinary conditions. It is where assumptions about visibility, trust, and control begin to meet reality.

The preferred path is rarely the loudest or most technical one. A credible approach that fits the environment usually produces better insight than a forced interaction.
